Airén, a top restaurant in the Costa del Sol, is located in the Reserva del Higerón Country Club and Spa. The dining area, with a seating capacity of 250, commands spectacular views of the country and the sea. The terrace – among the nicest miradors of the province – is open only in the summer. The restaurant’s minimalist décor, which consists of simple forms, straight lines and modernist details, lends great elegance to the place.
Recently, Airén has hired Fernando Martín as a chef. The Asturias-born cook who has adopted Málaga as his province of residence has been awarded numerous prizes and has run great restaurants like the Trascorrales or El Higuerón. As soon as his culinary journey landed Martín in Airén, he revised the menu, fusing traditional ingredients to prepare fantastically flavoured dishes that suit most tastes. The wine list and the service are equally excellent.
