Ascari, the first race resort in the world, is located in a dreamlike setting -a valley surrounded by holm oaks next to the Serranía de Ronda. It’s a brand-new type of resort, ideal for motor addicts and nature fans. Its facilities include a high-speed circuit, dirt tracks, a driving school, a club house, a heliport, a bar, and a swimming pool, and a luxury hotel for VIP customers is under construction.
The circuit, 5,245 metres in length, is the longest in Spain. It has been painstakingly designed. Its 26 bends -different combinations of angles, slopes and cambers- are big challenges for riders, as they resemble those of famous world circuits. Ascari’s unique circuit can be configured in six different ways, and this allows for the carrying out of several activities at the same time, depending on different skill levels. The off-road track, which is divided in twosections, is apt for riding quads or driving the most modern four-wheel-drive vehicles. Moreover, there’s a six-kilometre road across the woods and around the complex which affords breathtaking views and makes visitors feel an incredible driving sensation.
The one-kilometre-long dirt track can be used to drive “speed buggies” (fast vehicles with fibreglass bodywork and safe steel cage). Its cambers and bends of different sorts -some quite open and fast, others closed and sharp and thus ideal for skidding- promise a great deal of fun. This area also doubles as a go-kart racing section, bending into a 30-metre circular track.
The main track also features eight double garages providing water, three-phase electric power, compressed-air systems, fire and security alarms, and electric doors. A technical service centre is under construction; it will have a vehicle repair area, a meeting room, an exhibition room, and a car park. In addition, the Ascari circuit is protected with state-of-the-art security systems and provides healthcare services to customers, who can use the private heliport if they need to.
The club house is an old but renovated Andalusian estate holding a bar and surrounded by a swimming pool and gardens overlooking the tracks and the pit lane. Guests can have a drink or a Mediterranean meal inside or on the terrace.
Ascari race resort also hosts corporate events. The resort’s planning and advisory staff can work on their own or in cooperation with agencies, organising incentive activities in the complex or outside (for example, golf or yachting events on the Costa del Sol, or skiing in the Sierra Nevada). In general, the circuit’s surroundings provide the adequate combination of excitement and relax, and this makes going too far away unnecessary. Since the tracks are free from ads and brandnames, they can be used for vehicle presentations or photo sessions.
The most original service offered by Ascari is the Race Academy, a driving school where customers will feel free to do what they’ve always dreamt about on exceptional machines: ordinary vehicles, sports cars, single-seaters, and F1 cars featuring cutting-edge technology for driving performance assessment. Instructors are experienced and highly-qualified. Ascari club members have access to the exclusive use of tracks for two months a year, a right they can transfer to friends, relatives or customers for ten days.
