Gipuzkoan Coast

The Gipuzkoan coastal regions have it all. An exaggeration? Possibly, but this area has so many attractions that you’d be hard pushed to think of something it doesn’t have. This area of land between the bay of Txingudi and Saturrarán beach looks out onto the Cantabrian sea offering beautiful cliffs, fine sandy beaches, ports in which to sample fresh fish and places filled with history and life.

Strolling through Hondarribia’s old quarter, taking a boat across the bay of Pasaia, letting Donostia’s old and new charms captivate you, surfing the waves of Zarautz and discovering the practically virgin coast between Zumaia and Deba are guipuzcoan pleasures you’ll find it hard to resist.

Those eager to leave behind the murmur of the sea and to venture inland can enjoy a different style of landscape – the nature parks of Aiako Harria and Pagoeta or rural valleys like that of Lastur- with a different flavour: that of cider, whose route gives life to the Donostialdea region. Gipuzkoa has everything. What more could you need?
