Granada’s annual International Festival of Young Filmmakers, focuses on short films. This festival is held at different venues around the city such as Isabel la Católica Theatre, the Condes de Gabia Palace and the Val del Omar Room at the Andalusia Film Centre. In 2012 the event celebrates its 19th anniversary.
This is an international event where quality and variety in subject matter, technique and cultural references prevail in the films selected. Furthermore, the festival programme is completed by a broad range of parallel activities such as meetings, workshops and the projection of shorts aimed at highly varied audiences.
Granada, thanks to its fascinating history and exceptional geographical location, makes a magnificent film set. Our beautiful city is also an extraordinary place to hold a cinema event, encounters between young professionals and the public, of the calibre of the International Young Film Makers’ Festival of Granada.
