Year after year, it is bringing together different sectors of the film industry, creating forums and meetings to review progress and needs of Spanish cinema and providing a showcase for the work of professionals in the audiovisual sector.

The Malaga Festival covers the unprecedented Spanish Film in feature films, shorts and documentaries. In addition, over the different editions it has grown with events such as Mercadoc, markets in Spanish and Latin American Documentary; Malaga Screenings, Spanish Feature Films Market; TV Market, Market of Spanish fiction and animation for television; ZONAZINE, feature films, shorts and cycles for young audiences.

The Festival is a cultural, social and tourism event, which is reflected in the wide media coverage and the great interest aroused in the audience.
