Puente Romano Hotel

At the beginning, Puente Romano used to be a residential complex, but in 1979 it was converted into a hotel. The 27 three-storey houses (274 total rooms and suites) have been built on a surface area of 55,000 sq m marked by brooks, waterfalls and pools surrounded by landscaped gardens featuring more than four-hundred plant species coming from all over the world.

The Puente Romano offers four guest rooms for the disabled, 28 standard double rooms, 130 superior double rooms, 36 de luxe double rooms, 7 beach double rooms, 55 superior suites, 7 beach suites, 12 de luxe junior suites, 1 executive suite, 1 royal suite, one beach suite with two rooms, 1 presidential suite and 1 imperial suite (over 100 sq m).

All the services provided by this five-star hotel are superior: 24-hour room service, babysitting, medical service, laundry, flight or train ticket booking, restaurant or tour booking, car rental, and so on. In addition, the establishment has a shopping area with bank, beauty salon, clothing and accessories, newsagent, gifts, flowers… There are many dining options: El Puente, next to the Roman bridge, has a large terrace and is open all day long. It offers Mediterranean dishes with a touch of the famed French cuisine.

The Suite del Mar beach bar serves Mediterranean dishes for lunch, including meat and fish and a wide array of healthy salads. In the evenings, it offers a festive ambience you’ll enjoy while listening to music and having a drink. La Cascada is an elegant bar with live piano –mainly jazz- every night, except for Wednesdays. The Plaza is a restaurant serving Mediterranean and international food where you can eat while enjoying good jazz, flamenco and other music genres styles.

The Italian restaurant Roberto, boasting a romantic and sophisticated ambience, offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. Fresh pasta, however, is Roberto’s specialty. Just 15 minutes from the hotel is the Marbella Club Golf Resort, a great 18-hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas. Dotted with brooks, lakes, waterfalls, or bunkers, the golf course poses innumerable sporting challenges. The golf department at the Puente Romano will make the reservations for you to use this or any other golf course in the area.

There’s also an equestrian club where you can take horse riding lessons, either individually or in groups. Moreover, you can do tours on horseback to get closer to the beautiful surroundings. The hotel’s tennis club features three red-clay tennis and four paddleball courts. They are considered as the best in Europe, so much so that they have played host to Davis Cup and ATP games.

The fitness centre offers customised training programmes prepared by a professional staff. It has a fitness equipment and a room for aerobic lessons. Following your workout session, you’ll love relaxing at the sauna, Turkish bath or the outdoor pools (one of them is a heated pool). The sporting offer at the hotel includes water sports like water ski, windsurf, kayaking, and sailing. In the summer, children have fun while participating in the activities the hotel staff plan for them like games, handicraft worshops and so on.
